  3. Open "Monetization"

The "Monetization" section lists the programs open to your account.

In the creator tools settings, open "Monetization". TikTok shows the programs available for your account.

  4. Join a program (if eligible)

    Monetization programs offered by TikTok
Join a program if your account meets the requirements.

Choose a program (Creator Rewards Program, live gifts, etc.). If your account is "eligible", tap "Sign up" or "Enable". Otherwise, TikTok shows the requirements you still need to meet.

Good to know

Important: monetization is "not open to everyone". Most programs require you to be at least "18", to have a minimum number of recent "followers" and "views", and to live in an "eligible country". If your account doesn't meet these requirements yet, the "Sign up" option won't appear.

Common requirements

  • Be "18" or older.
  • Reach the "follower" and "view" thresholds set by the program.
  • Live in a "country where the program is available".
  • Follow TikTok's "community guidelines".

Frequently asked questions

Why don't I see the option to sign up for monetization?
Because your account isn't eligible yet: usually you're short on followers, recent views, the minimum age, or availability in your country. TikTok unlocks sign-up once the requirements are met.
How many followers do you need to monetize on TikTok?
It depends on the program and the country. The thresholds change over time, but you generally need several thousand followers and enough recent views, on top of being 18.
Where is monetization on TikTok?
In your profile: menu (three lines) › Creator tools (TikTok Studio) › Monetization. The programs open to your account are listed there.
